Feather Flags

Feather flags are designed to capture attention in outdoor or indoor environments, making them popular for shopfronts, exhibitions, forecourts, festivals, cafés, and events. Their tall shape allows them to move naturally in the wind, helping attract attention to your brand or promotion.

The flags are printed on 110 g/m² flag knit material, a lightweight mesh-style fabric designed to allow wind to pass through while still displaying vibrant printed graphics.

When correctly installed with the appropriate base, feather flags are designed to withstand winds of approximately 13–18 mph while remaining flexible and stable.

Yes. Each feather flag is supplied with a lightweight fibreglass pole system, which allows the flag to bend and move naturally in the wind without breaking.

To keep your flag looking its best:

• Wash at 30 °C with standard detergent

• Allow it to dry fully before folding or storing

• Do not tumble dry, iron, bleach, or dry clean.

Yes, you can order just the base. Select “Base only” in the “Size” option.

• Download our templates to get the correct sizes and print dimensions. When using our templates, your artwork will be scaled to 25 % this is correct, don’t worry.

• Create a custom-sized design.

• Design remembering to:

  • Include 3mm bleed on all sides

  • Ensure fonts are not too small to read at a distance

• Download it from the “Share” button as a “PDF Print”

• Upload that to our website

• Choose the free file check option, and we’ll check the document works for print.

Using Canva as an online tool will show (and save) your colour profiles in RGB as the default, which is best for screens. You’ll need to convert your colours to CMYK.

We will convert RGB to CMYK if you leave them as-is, but this will slightly change the colours in your final flag. Canva Pro allows you to convert your “PDF Print” to CMYK.

Convert black (100% K) to true black (C:100 M:100 Y:100 K:100). If you supply artwork as black (100% K), your design will be printed as navy blue.

Canva automatically handles font embedding when downloading as a PDF Print.

Yes, all of our flag bases are interchangeable, allowing you to switch between base types as needed without replacing the flag itself. Make sure to get the sturdiest base you can to avoid your flag blowing away.

Feather flags are available in several heights, including:

• 2.6 m

• 3.2 m

• 4 m

• 4.9 m

These measurements refer to the total height of the flag when assembled with the pole and base.

Yes. Feather flags can be produced single-sided or double-sided.

• Single-sided flags show the design on both sides, with the reverse appearing mirrored.

• Double-sided flags use two printed layers with a block-out liner so each side can display a different design.

Please note that double-sided printing is not available on the 4.9 m size option.

A range of interchangeable bases is available depending on where the flag will be displayed, including:

• Cross bases for indoor or hard surfaces

• Ground spikes for grass or soil

• Heavy-duty bases filled with water for additional stability

• Concrete base - weight capacity 22kg

• Drive-on base - designed to secure flag poles using the weight of a vehicle

Bases can be purchased separately or as part of a flag order.

Yes. The flag, pole sections, and hardware are supplied with a carry bag, making them easy to transport and assemble at exhibitions, events, or retail locations.

For best print results, artwork should be supplied:

• At 300 dpi resolution

• Scaled to 25 % (as per the downloadable templates)

• With 3 mm bleed on all sides

• As a CMYK PDF (preferably PDF/X-1a)

• With fonts outlined or embedded.

2.6 m Feather Flag

Best for portable or indoor displays. Recommended bases

• Cross base – ideal for indoor floors or pavements

• Small water base – good outdoor stability on flat ground

• Ground spike – great for grass or soft ground

Why? Smaller flags create less wind resistance, so lightweight bases are usually sufficient.

3.2 m Feather Flag

Best for retail entrances, forecourts, and exhibitions. Recommended bases

• Cross base– suitable for outdoor use on hard surfaces. You can add additional weights to this if you need to.

• Small water base – improved stability outdoors

• Ground spike – ideal for grass or sand

Why? This is the mid-range height where a little extra weight helps keep the flag stable in light wind.

4 m Feather Flag

Best for high-visibility outdoor advertising. Recommended bases

• Large water base – strong stability for flat surfaces

• Concrete base – suitable for busy outdoor areas

• Ground spike – reliable anchoring in soil

Why? Taller flags require heavier bases because the increased height catches more wind.

4.9 m Feather Flag

Best for maximum visibility at events or roadside promotions. Recommended bases

• Large water base – best for stability on hard ground

• heavy concrete base – best for stability on hard ground

• Ground spike – effective in grass or soft soil

Why? Extra-tall flags need the most secure anchoring to prevent tipping.

Drive-on car bases should be chosen when wanting to ue the weight of a car to keep your flag secure. This might be best suited to outdoor shows and events or car showrooms, where you have access to a car for weight support.
