They can be fixed to any magnetic surface, such as iron and steel and can be easily applied and removed, leaving no residue. Suitable for use indoors and outdoors, our magnetic signs are printed on an ultra-sturdy 900µ (0.9mm) thick magnetic substrate, which is guaranteed to withstand the elements of the outside world for up to 2 years.

With custom sizes available from 100 x 100mm up to 950 x 1000mm, you can provide magnetic signage to fit almost anywhere, from fridges, offices, walls, to vehicles. They can provide both temporary and permanent advertising for all kinds of businesses.

Our custom-shaped magnetic signs are printed directly onto a durable, 900µ (0.9mm) thick magnetic sheet, featuring a matt white PET (a form of polyester) front and a magnetic backing. While the vinyl is unlaminated, the fade-proof and water-resistant inks ensure your design stays vibrant and long-lasting, giving you more life out of your sign.

Technical Specifications for Magnetic Sign Printing

Artwork specifications:

When supplying artwork for flexible magnetic vinyl, please supply 1 multi-layered PDF, which contains the following:

• 3mm bleed on all sides

• CMYK PDF

• Outline or embed fonts

• Cut paths must be 1 continuous unbroken line with no overlaps.

• 150 dpi resolution

• Artwork layer named “Artwork” with CMYK artwork for print

• We recommend using 18 pt fonts and 2 pt lines at a minimum on 150 dpi products to ensure the print is legible. Please have a look at our Help Centre article for more details.

• If you are ordering a custom shape, please supply a vector cutting guide with a thickness of 0.25pt set as a spot colour named “KissCutting” and set at 100% magenta. This should be set as an overprint stroke on a layer named “KissCutting”

Printed direct to substrate on a 900µ (0.9mm) thick magnetic sheet comprising of a matt white PET (a form of polyester) to the front and a magnetic layer on the reverse.

Instruction for Magnets:

Before Use:

If your decal has arrived in a roll or appears creased, lay in a warm place on a flat surface for a few hours or overnight. A useful tip is to place it on the warm side of a fridge or freezer.

Precautions for Use:

• Do not apply magnetic sheets to newly painted surfaces, especially non-factory applied finishes.

• Ensure that both the vehicle panel and the underside of the decal are clean, dry, and free of dust, grit, and ice before applying.

• The whole decal must be placed to ensure that the magnetic sheet has maximum contact with a ferrous surface. Do not attempt to place the decal over a panel crease or hollow.

• Do not exceed the legal speed limit. In adverse weather conditions such as strong winds, remove decals from vehicles.

Positioning & Removal:

Do not drag Decals over the vehicle panel. If any grit is trapped, you could scratch the paintwork.

**Important**: You must regularly (every 2-3 days) remove the panels and clean/wax the bodywork behind them. This is particularly important in hot weather when you are recommended to remove the panels at the end of every day.

Likewise, when there is a danger of overnight frost/ice, remove the panels otherwise ice can creep behind them. Note that the material will stiffen in cold weather increasing the risk of loss in windy conditions.

The magnetic properties of the sheet comply with European standards as suitable for use on vehicles. However, as neither we nor the manufacturer have any control over how the magnetic decals are used or maintained, we do not give any guarantee that decals will not fall off the vehicle during use.

Storage:

Magnetic decals are best kept by placing on a flat surface in a cool dry environment. Applying excessive heat can reduce the magnetic properties of the material. Long-term storage against other magnets can also damage your signs.

The use of magnetic sheet for vehicle signs may, in exceptional circumstances, result in damage to vehicle paintwork.

The advice above is given to minimise the risk of such damage occurring.
