Magnetic Postcards for the Fridge

Magnetic postcards - why?  It's not that we are expecting you to send these in the traditional "wish you were here" sense, it's more about providing your brand or event with a semi permanent, non damaging, lasting piece of advertising.

These are great for slapping on the side of coffee machines, ice cream freezers or airstreams so those pop up restaurants and food trucks have instant decor or advertising without leaving any rubbish behind as they go.

These are also a real favourite for weddings and big events that require a polished "save the date" solution as they can be applied onto any metal surface.  Any magnetic metal surface - some metals don't attract magnets.

Technical Specifications for Magnetic Postcards

Artwork specifications:

When supplying artwork for Flexible Magnetic Vinyls, please supply 1 multi layered PDF, which contains the following:

• 3mm bleed on all sides

• 10mm safe zone

• CMYK PDF

• Outline or embed fonts

• 150 dpi resolution

• Artwork layer named “Artwork” with CMYK artwork for print

• We recommend using 18 pt fonts and 2 pt lines at a minimum on 150 dpi products to ensure the print is legible. Please have a look at our Help Centre article for more details.

• If you are ordering a custom shape, please supply a vector cutting guide with a thickness of 0.25pt set as a spot colour named “KissCutting” and set at 100% magenta. This should be setup as an overprint stroke on a layer named “KissCutting”

Printed direct to substrate on a 900µ (0.9mm) thick magnetic sheet comprising of a matt white PET (a form of polyester) to the front and a magnetic layer on the reverse.

Instruction for Magnets:

Before Use:

If your decal has arrived in a roll or appears creased, lay in a warm place on a flat surface for a few hours or overnight. A useful tip is to place on the warm side of a fridge or freezer.

Precautions for Use:

• Do not apply magnetic sheet to newly painted surfaces, especially non factory applied finishes.

Storage:

Magnetic decals are best kept by placing on a flat surface in a cool dry environment. Applying excessive heat can reduce the magnetic properties of the material. Long term storage against other magnets can also damage your signs.
